Automated spray tanning means no more getting naked in front of anyone. Our tanning booths use state of the art technology with height detection and warm jets to deliver a perfect spray tan in the comfort of your own private, luxury booth.

Our primer or ‘perfector’ is complimentary. To us, it’s a mini-miracle product and a must-have for great tan results. Primer is applied during your spray tan session to balance your skin’s pH levels and create a more even tan. It conditions your skin, counters any orange undertone, quickens development time and intensifies results.

Our cutting-edge spray tanning booths can get you bronzed within minutes. You have an allocated 20-minute appointment so no need to rush. The tanning process itself takes just 4 minutes.

You can enter the studio 15 minutes before your tanning booking and wait in our reception area. You can only enter the tan booth room at your booking time, no earlier. You will not be able to get in from 5 minutes past your booking time.

If you are running late or have been held up, no problem. Just jump into your account on the Tan Access App on Apple or Android and cancel your booking. You can reschedule or the credit will sit in your account to use next time.

Your Bronzium tan will last up to 10 days. We include our primer in all our Bronzium tans to make sure your tan’s flawless and long-lasting. For optimum results and to help keep your tan longer follow our pre-tan prep tips and tricks.

Our booth is designed to give loads of different body types as close to perfect as it can for each individual. As we know every body type is different so sometimes there may be certain areas that it won’t be able to reach. However don’t let this deter you as we have a bronzing mist available for your use in the booth room. You can purchase a gradual tanner from our vending machine that you can blend into those areas after your tan has developed.

Tip: for under the butt cheeks – very slightly bending knees will help reach this area, rather than standing up too straight.

For under the boobs – stand tall and shoulders slightly back which will help lift the chest.

We highly recommend waiting at least 3 hours for our Riveria Rapid tan and 6 to 8 hours post-tan for Amalfi and Santorini before taking a shower. Your recommended rinse time depends on your depth of colour choice. Waiting gives the spray tan solution enough time to fully set in your skin.

The spray tanning solution we use is water soluble, if any products do transfer to sheets or clothing it should wash out easily in cold water. We recommend you go nude or use the disposables provided.

We suggest you wear loose, dark clothing while your tan develops.

Is spray tanning safe for pregnant and breastfeeding mums, and sensitive and allergic skins types?

Our booth’s filtering system along with the use of a nose filter means spray tanning is safe for mums and mums to be. The solutions are derived from natural and organic ingredients, vegan, cruelty free, nut-free and paraben and SLS free, marine algae based and are non-comedogenic but we always advise to consult your health care professional if you have any concerns.

At Bronzium, we know that our tanners often lead active, Aussie beach lifestyles (especially on the Surfcoast!) so by all means go for a swim in your tan. But … please, first wait 24 hours to allow your tan to develop. Also, understand that regular swimming may shorten the lifespan of your tan.

Water, pool chlorine or heavy sweating from exercise will all naturally dry out your skin, cause skin cells to shed quicker and your tan to fade faster. Try moisturising daily with a gradual moisturiser to extend your tan. Or, for a lovely year-round tan, reset weekly with an exfoliating scrub and fresh tan. Repeat. Repeat.

Sometimes, working up a sweat after a spray tan can cause your tan to appear patchy and uneven. Clothes rubbing against a fresh spray tan can have the same result.

To make sure it doesn’t we suggest wearing loose-fitting clothes and minimal underwear while your tan’s drying and that you shower to wash off the spray tan residue before exercising. Also, see our tips below on how to fix a streaky tan.

Don’t panic. Sometimes, it happens, usually if your pre-tan prep was a little rushed.

We’ve got you. Here’s our best solution for streaky tan: gently massage a small amount of body exfoliator on the areas where you see excess tan pigment or the streaky tan appearing. Let it slowly melt away the lines and your even tan evolve.

Also make sure when you rinse your tan that you gently wipe over your skin so the water evenly washes off the residue.
