The Day Before: Your Pre-Tan Prep

Exfoliate thoroughly using an exfoliating mitt or tan eraser foam (available from our vending machine) to remove dead skin cells and soften your skin, paying extra attention to dry areas.

Complete any waxing, shaving, or beauty treatments ahead of time to allow your skin to calm and your pores to settle. This also ensures any products, lotions, or oils have time to absorb or wash away.

Avoid bar soaps and creamy body washes, as they can leave a barrier on your skin. Choose oil-free body washes for the best tanning results.

Shower at least four hours before your tan. If you need to shower closer to your appointment, finish with 30 seconds of cold water to close your pores. Use only oil-free body washes or exfoliators, and avoid bar soaps and creamy products. No shaving, waxing, or exfoliating on the day of your tan.

Arrive with clean, dry skin, free from makeup, deodorant, moisturiser, lotions, or perfumes — oil and alcohol-based products can affect your tan.

After tanning, wear dark, loose-fitting clothing and slip-on shoes to avoid rubbing. Our solutions are water-soluble, so any transfer to clothing should wash out easily, but it’s best to come prepared.

Glow Maintenance Made Easy

Avoid getting wet or sweaty until your first rinse. Rinse times vary depending on your tan, ranging from a 1-hour rapid to overnight development. When rinsing, use lukewarm water only, gently wipe over your body without soap or shampoo, and keep it quick. Pat your skin dry without rubbing.

Avoid moisturiser for the first 12 hours to allow full development. From day 3, use a tan extender (available in our vending machine) to maintain your glow. Your tan will continue to deepen for 12–24 hours after rinsing, so don’t worry if it looks lighter at first.

After 24 hours, moisturise morning and night, stay hydrated, and avoid bar soaps and creamy body washes to extend your tan.

  • Our complimentary primer is a mini miracle — and an essential step for a flawless tan. Applied before your session, it balances your skin’s pH, smooths texture, and helps create a more even, longer-lasting glow. It also helps minimise orange undertones, speeds up development, and enhances overall results.

    If you have sensitive skin, we recommend trying your first tan without primer to see what works best for you.

  • Our automated booth is built to cater to a wide range of body types, delivering an even, natural tan as close to perfection as possible. While every body is beautifully different, some areas may be trickier to reach — but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

    Bronzing mist is available in the booth room for quick touch-ups, and our gradual tanner (available in the vending machine) can be applied post-development to blend any missed areas seamlessly.

    Pro Tips:
    • For under the butt cheeks — soften your knees slightly to help the mist reach.
    • For under the bust — stand tall with shoulders gently back to lift the chest.

  • For the best results, we recommend waiting at least 3 hours before rinsing off The Golden Hour tan, and 6–8 hours for The Afterglow, Poolside, and Seaside.

    Your ideal rinse time depends on your chosen depth of colour. Waiting allows the solution to fully develop, giving you the richest, most radiant result.

  • Our booth’s filtering system along with the use of a nose filter means spray tanning is safe for mums/mums to be. The solutions are derived from natural and organic ingredients, vegan, cruelty free, nut-free and paraben and SLS free, marine algae based and are non-comedogenic.

    If you have sensitive skin, try your first tan with no primer.

  • Our spray tan solution is water-soluble, so any transfer onto clothing or sheets should wash out easily with cold water. For best results, we recommend tanning nude or using the disposable garments provided.

    After your session, opt for loose, dark clothing while your tan develops — comfort is key to a flawless finish.

  • We get it — active, beach-loving lifestyles are part of the Bronzium glow. Yes, you can swim with your tan, but we recommend waiting at least 24 hours to let it fully develop.

    Keep in mind, frequent swimming — especially in chlorinated pools — and heavy sweating can cause your tan to fade faster by drying out your skin and speeding up cell turnover.

    To extend your glow, moisturise daily with a gradual tanning lotion. For a beautiful year-round bronze, exfoliate weekly and refresh with a new tan. Glow. Rinse. Repeat.

  • Working up a sweat too soon after your spray tan can lead to patchiness or uneven areas — and tight clothing or underwear rubbing against your skin can do the same.

    To avoid this, wear loose-fitting clothing and minimal underwear while your tan is developing. Hold off on exercise until after your first rinse to wash away any residue.

    Noticed a streak or missed spot? Here’s how to blend it out:
    – Use a tanning mitt or clean makeup brush to gently blend bronzing mist into the area
    – For lighter patches, apply a gradual tanner to build colour over a day or two
    – For darker streaks, lightly exfoliate the area to soften and even out the tone
    – For a flawless refresh, exfoliate and reset with a fresh tan after a few days

    A streaky tan doesn’t have to stay that way — with a little care, you’ll be glowing again in no time.

  • It happens — especially if your pre-tan prep was a little rushed. But don’t worry, we’ve got you.

    To smooth out streaks or excess pigment, gently massage a small amount of body exfoliator onto the area. Let it work its magic and softly blend the uneven lines, allowing your tan to even out naturally.

    When rinsing your tan, be sure to gently sweep your hands over your skin to help the water wash away any residue evenly — this small step can make a big difference.
